Rainbow Honey Swatch Spam

Hi everyone! If you have bought any Rainbow Honey polishes before you will know that they have one of the best well packaged polishes and professional promotional advertisement and pictures. Most of their collection has a unique theme and interesting mix of colours. I am a big sucker for packaging and that’s one of the main reason why I have so many untried Rainbow Honey polishes in my stash so I am going to show you some today.

Kitsune is from The Yokai Collection. Kitsune, the magical white fox, refers by the creator as a glorious nine-tailed creature: fiery, wise and absolutely gorgeous. Kitsune as a polish is a cream base with gold shimmers, flecks, red, brown and iridescent glitters. The formula was a little on the thick side so make sure you coat each layer as thin as possible if you intend to do a few coats. But this is quite opaque; it was almost a one coater for me, so two coats definitely going to cut it. It did dry a little gritty so topcoats are essential unless you want to leave it textured. This is 2 coats with topcoat.rainbow honey kitsunerainbow honey kitsune (1)

Oni is the other colour from the trio of The Yokia Collection. Oni, The Malevolent Wild Demon, described as wicked and hideous. Oni is a blackened base with golden and magenta flecks. The flecks definitely are duochrome that give off a greenish tint to it. Formula was thin but not runny and application was easy. This is 2 coats with topcoat. This is so gorgeous, far from being hideous of course.rainbow honey oni (1)rainbow honey oni (2)rainbow honey oni

Gilded Angel, from the The Holiday Collection, is a gold foil shimmer base with faint holo. I really like this matte but the formula didn’t allow me to keep it without topcoat. Formula was slightly thin which is alright but it did dry a little uneven. And it did leave a little of the shimmer residue on the fingers upon removal. Otherwise it is actually quite a pretty colour and it is with holo! This is 2 coats with topcoat.rainbow honey glided angelrainbow honey glided ange(1)

Pillars Of Creation, one of the duos set from the Cosmic Dawn Collection, is a gorgeous multichromatic shimmer that mainly flashes golden olive green. Formula on this was great, thin but application was easy. Very sparkly and pretty! Photos showing 2 coats and topcoat.rainbow honey pillars of creationrainbow honey pillars of creation(1)

In my desperate attempt to use my insanely huge stash of untried I did a skittles nails with all four of the polishes. Pinkie and Thumb: Kitsune, Index: Pillars Of Creation, Middle: Gilded Angel, Ring: Onirainbow honeyrainbow honey(1)

It is with no surprise that I really love Oni and Pillars Of Creation. I cannot refrain from liking that golden green in Pillars Of Creation and Oni is so vampy and edgy looking. The other surprise favourite is Kitsune. I really like how it looked against my skin tone but I must say that it didn’t translate well in my photos. It is way prettier in real life.

You can still find some of these colours over at Rainbow Honey Store, Mei Mei Signatures or check out these international stockist.

Rainbow Honey Sweet Talk Collection Swatch

Today I have for you Rainbow Honey Sweet Talk collection to show you. This collection totally screams Valentine’s Day. This collection contains 5 colours with 2 of them being limited edition. I have always been a fan of Rainbow Honey’s nail polishes as I think they have been putting out great unique combination colours and their packaging is top notch but I personally feel that some of the formula need to be improved.

Be Mine. This is a very sweet pink with slight hint of gold shimmers which are not very visible. The formula is a crelly and I am not totally crazy about it. It is kinda thick and uneven, so I would recommend to thin it out with thinner. And probably better to do thin coats. The photos are two coats with a coat of topcoat. But still a very pretty colour. beminebemine1

Xoxo is a glitter topper in a goldish holo base with bright pink and red hexagon glitters. I wasn’t expecting to love this so much. The combination of the holo glitters with red and pink hexagon glitters really work so perfectly together, the look is totally very romantic. And I am sure this will look great on any base! This is one coat of Xoxo on top of 2 coats of Be Mine sealed in with a coat of topcoat. Formula is excellent too. Superb! xoxoxoxo1

Sweet Talk. This is a mixes of light green, pink and purple matte glitters in a white base. I painted 2 coats of sweet talk with a coat of Posche fast dry topcoat for the pictures but I think it will be better to use 3 thin coats. Formula was good. sweettalksweettalk1

My Love is one of the two limited edition colours from the Sweet Talk collection. I won both of these from Mei Mei Signatures! I never won anything pretty much in my life so I was so happy when I won it! When I saw the promo pictures I was drooling over Dearly Beloved than My Love. But I ended up loving My Love a lot more than Dearly Beloved (that’s quite a mouthful, lol). My Love is a topper packed with super sparkling holo and white and pink heart glitters! I used one coat of My Love on top of two coats of Be Mine. The formula is great and no issue getting the heart glitters out. You cannot imagine how sparkling this is and it is way more gorgeous in real life, I couldn’t stop staring at it and couldn’t bear to remove it.

Dearly Beloved. This is the other limited edition colour of the two. It is packed wiith gorgeous gold glitter with red square and heart glitters in a clear base. The combo is simply beautiful but I wished that there can be more red square glitters. No fishing needed for the hearts and they laid flat on the nails. Formula is good. dearlybeloveddearlybeloved1

Overall I love this collection and super happy that the limited edition colours are going in to my stash. My absolute favourites of the bunch are My Love and Xoxo. You can buy these except the limited edition colours from Mei Mei Signatures or at Rainbow Honey What do you think of them? Please feel free to comment if you have any. đŸ™‚

Rainbow Honey Siren Song swatch

This is a swatch of Rainbow Honey Siren Song from their Chrono Cross Collection, I adore how RH pays attention to the packaging, i am sold at the packaging. I layered this on top of China glaze’s Aquadelic and I also did an polka dot accent on my ring finger. I can’t remember how many coats of Siren Song did I layer as I did this few weeks ago. The formular of Siren Song was a little thick and probably needs a little thinning. And it is better to wait for the first coat to dry before layering on the second as you may drag the glitters along. This was meant to be my first post of the blog but ended up posting it later. This was taken under natural light.
